I was going to make this a long post, but there's too much on my plate at the moment to be screwing around with a blog, so here's the Clif's Notes version (more detail to come):
- I'm in afghanistan
- I'm working on this
- I'm going to be here the entire month of January
...And this was the journey, including a 2hr 20min ride from Kabul to Jalalabad (there are effectively no laws here, ESPECIALLY on the roads. Lanes, speed limits, shoulders--all meaningless):

This is a very original way to escape the Bostonian winter, Afghanistan of all places. Looks like a fascinating project. Take care.

Hey, it's been a crappy winter...
Tell me about it! Ice everywhere. Plus, today there was a massive power outage in parts of Cambridge, including my flat, for almost half of the day; but my guess is that this happens regularly in A. and will not impress you terribly :)
